MG is high temperature wire used in applications up to 450 degrees Celcius. It features heat resistant insulation and a fiberglass braid outer jacket. When exposed to fire it has minimal smoke generation. The mica tape insulation does not melt or soften except when it reaches very high temperatures. It is used in smelters, ovens and kilns.
